The Body Chain; Annoying IM�ers

goddess2b0811: well, I had it custom made in '01. Custom made for me

goddess2b0811: I never wore it, didn't have occasion to. Then I was laid off and moved up here

goddess2b0811: Since I was so broke I didn't have anything to give BW as a birthday present

goddess2b0811: and since the best presents are supposed to be the ones you cherish the most....

goddess2b0811: I made her a present of it.

goddess2b0811: She hasn't once wore it, so I asked her this morning if I could borrow it

goddess2b0811: I didn't tell her I had it made for me, of course

goddess2b0811: but at the time I wanted to show her my thanks for doing everything for me, letting me live rent free and such

goddess2b0811: I know it's tacky, but I really am happy I finally get to wear it

Chou-Chou: I don't think it's tacky at all

goddess2b0811: it's just that I worked so hard for that chain.

goddess2b0811: I had to find someone to make it

goddess2b0811: It's about a yard of sterling silver

goddess2b0811: and it looks so perfect on me, I hated giving it up.

goddess2b0811: What I thought was the worst part is that BW has never known how big a gesture that was from me, because she doesn't know the history behind it

Chou-Chou: That's what makes you such a special person and I love you all the more for it.

goddess2b0811: so I guess this means I can't keep it?

goddess2b0811: I'm kidding

goddess2b0811: I'm sure I'll get lots of compliments on it tonight and BW will start wearing it now.

goddess2b0811: I'm just so honored that after all that, and two years later, I finally get to wear it.

goddess2b0811: I'm sorry I finally get to wear it first

Chou-Chou: of course, just to make you feel better...you could say, Why thank you! You know I had this custom made in Dallas, and I gave it to BW.

Chou-Chou: it would, after all, be the truth.

goddess2b0811: I don't want the credit, I want IT

goddess2b0811: *sigh*

Well, tonight I�m going to some Moroccan themed party. An acquaintance is throwing it. I had no idea what to wear, so I�m wearing silk scarves. One around my head, another as a top, another as a pseudo skirt over pants. I hope it�s a fun party. It is, after all, my first party after being dead broke.

Ok, I am so annoyed with men lately. I think I might just lock up my IM profile. I am really too busy at work to be chatting up with anyone aside from Chou-Chou or Belle. Yesterday, this idiot not only attempted to IM me, but when I didn�t answer, he started BUZZING. ! ! ! ! Hel-lo!! Some of us are working here!! Better yet, he did that while my boss is trying to go over some documents with me.

Do these guys really think they�re being impressive? I simply do not understand such stupidity and lack of manners.
